Wow am I behind the times, ?I just clicked on this family blog page for the first time and it looks like no one has used it since it first started! Let's change that, okay? I vow today 5/22/10 to begin "blogging" weekly for my family! Oh yeah, this is my first time blogging, so please forgive my lack of blog skills. :-) I am the 2nd born grandchild of Roy & Marie Denton and the 1st born granddaughter. Yep, that means you can ask me diapering stories and such about the younger grandkids, cause another one didn't come along for like 6 years. I made good babysitting money off my own family and gained awesome nurturing skills. Thanks all my lovely cousins.

HELLO EVERYONE!!! I am going to try to make it to Ron's Labor Day get together. I just started a new job last week. I'm teaching 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades in special ed. I didn't have kids in my room the first week, so it was just a bunch of paper work :( But I started working with the kids today and it went great!! Just thought I'd give a little update.

Hi, everyone! Just wanted to say Hi & that I can't wait to see everyone at Ron's labor day picnic! Macy starts Kindergarten on Wed 8/23 and Brian & I are both starting classes at Ivy Tech on Monday. I'm excited, but nervous - it's been 12 years since I've been in school! (Of course I'm taking online classes this semester - so I won't really be IN class :0) ) See most of you in a few weeks. Hey Ron - do you have an RSVP list of who WILL be there Labor day wknd???

Hi all,

I just ate the 1st corn on the cob of the season from Dad's garden. Yummy! The heat we've had and Dad's Green Thumb combined to create a wonderful flavor. Now if we can just keep the racoons out of it...

THIS IS RONALD E. DENTON. ONE OF THE OLD MEMBERS OF THE CLAN AND I MIGHT ADD, FEELING IT MORE EACH DAY!!!! I HAVE BEEN ON VACATION FOR TWO WEEKS. WENT VISITING SOME, BUT MOST OF THE TIME I JUST STAYED CLOSE TO HOME AND DID THINGS HERE. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO LABOR DAY WEEKEND FOR I WANT TO SEE EVERYONE AND TALK A LITTLE. I WISH EVERYONE COULD BE HERE, BUT GUESS GOD WILL HAVE TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN SOMEDAY IF IT DOES !!!!!! I TOOK MY GRANDDAUGHTER TO THE ZOO THIS WEEK AND I DON'T THINK I'M OVER THAT YET. WE DID HAVE A GREAT TIME AND I THINK BOTH OF US WILL REMEMBER IT FOR A LONG TIME TO COME. I TOOK KALEIGH BUG AND SHE WAS GOOD AS GOLD!!!! I NEED TO ATTEND TO MY WTERMELONS AND CANTALOUPE GARDEN FOR I WANT TO HAVE SOME BIG ONES FOR THE PUMPKIN SHOW THIS YEAR. THAT IS IF IT IS GOD'S WILL, FOR HE HAS MORE CONTROL OF IT THAN I DO ACTUALLY.
